100 Squared launches its Spring Summer Collections…and two new locations!!!

Ok, Saturday mornings I love love love wandering along Oxford Street in my home suburb of Paddington. The markets are home to some of the most stunning craft stalls you’ve ever seen and Fringe Markets is host to an array of up-and-coming Sydney fashion designers.

So I’m sure you can imagine how excited I was to hear that 100 Squared Emerging Designer Market is launcing its Spring Summer campaign on Thursday the 8th of September from 5pm, at their CBD store. AND… that it will be host to a number of these innovative desigers, scream. Here are some of them to name but a few:

Mok Theorem
From humble beginnings, sisters Grace and Gloria Mok turned their backs on their corporate careers with a vision to create a fashion label unlike the next. The result is Mok Theorem – style solutions influenced by persona, passion and physicality before impending trends. With monochrome tones, wrapping, bandaging, twisting and draping all combining to create ultra modern versions of classic wardrobe staples.

Victorious
Victorious is bringing the trend of mixing vintage clothing with high end fashion to the mainstream market. Successfully fulfilling the needs of the every day trend makers by delivering them an inimitable style assembled from the timeless garments of past decades and bringing them into today’s style.

Recreational
What started as a hobby at Fringe Bar Markets has now led to a cutting edge brand with national and international customer and media acclaim. Recreational produces irreverent jewellery in an array of different metals and finishes. Inspired by the ever-changing worlds of music and technology, fashion and celebrity and urban pop culture movements such as graffiti art, Recreational caters to a discerningly cool gang of men and women.

Sage Sydney
Sage Sydney will bring its quintessentially Australian garments to 100 Squared, embracing the heart of Sydney city all the way from their small beginnings as a market stall in Bondi. High demand for their limited edition designs and re-invented vintage garments and accessories lead to their first retail store in Bondi, which has since become a style destination.
Sage Sydney epitomises the laid back Australian lifestyle uniting the worlds of boho and beach, casual and chic with simple sophistication.

Love and Luck
Love and Luck’s leather accessories are kitsch with an edgy alter ego. They combine commercial appeal with non-commercial concepts, such as morbidity. Their contemporary handbags are created from luxurious leathers for those style conscious women who like to have a distinctive edge and aren’t afraid of the dark.

Romy-oh
Romy-oh are a Mother and daughter team that have taken their flair for fashion and developed a fashion forward jewellery label inspired by French and European designs. With designs that will take the every day girl from day wear into evening wear with wearable statement pieces.

A number of existing designers – Love & Luck, Recreational, and Charlotte Dawson favourite Mok Theorem – will welcome the new additions of Show Pony and OMG Style to the 100 Squared family. The Spring/Summer season also sees the return of Australian favourite Coco and Rogers.

In an ever-challenging retail industry, the distinctly different theatrical retail concept of 100 Squared, is going from strength to strength with founder Justin Levy launching two new sites later this month at Westfield Bondi Junction and Westfield Miranda, accommodating 12 new designers.

The unique nature of the 100 Squared shopping experience gives consumers all the essence of a marketplace, but with the trimmings of a boutique store. Levy’s vision is to continue providing a point of difference for shoppers, whilst supporting Sydney’s emerging talent with more locations to choose from and increased access to consumers.

“We’re excited about broadening the horizons for 100 Squared and especially about moving beyond the Sydney CBD,” says Levy. “Not only does it give our designers an opportunity to further expand their brands, but it gives more choice to suburban shoppers who are bored with the current retail offerings.”

To celebrate the launch of the Spring/Summer campaign at Westfield Sydney, which coincides with Vogue’s Fashion Night Out, 100 Squared will be adorned with spring flowers courtesy of Poho Flowers Sydney.

Live acoustics by Kym Campbell will provide music to the spring festivities, with refreshments from Aperol Spritz* and Santa Vittoria available for shoppers as they peruse the latest fashions and offers from 100 Squared. The first 50 customers to spend over $150 at the market will walk away with goodie bags** filled with magazines, cosmetics and skincare products. (Hello!!! Goody Bags!!! Why aren’t you already on your way there?!)
